In Loving Memory:
Char Jowers: Co-Founder/Investigator
Char Jowers: Co-Founder/Investigator
Char and I started Womens Investigative Paranormal Society to give women a chance to have the full experience of investigating the paranormal. She had a passion for ghosthunting and was a full believer of the supernatural. On our last investigation in November of 2010 she became ill. A few weeks later she was diagnosed with Cancer. We put WIPS on hold until she felt better. With all the treatments she endured, she never found the strength to investigate again. After a long battle, the cancer took her from us. She passed in October of 2011. It was extrememly hard for me to continue. In my heart I know she would have wanted me to. And she told me that she would help from the otherside. So this is for you Char, I love you to the end.
Current Team Members:
Shirley Roth: Founder/Investigator
Uncovering the truth about paranormal activity has been a high interest of mine all of my life. At the age of 10 I had my first experience in the form of an apparition of a young girl. Ever since, I have been intrigued in finding the source of my experiences and encounters. This is the reason I have formed this group, in hopes of gaining answers to my life questions. I currently live in Wichita with my husband, daughter and our dog.
Amanda Roth: Tech/ Website Manager/ Case Manager
I have always been a skeptic to the paranormal but am intrigued by the possibility that there may be something more to this Life. My love of History and research has lead me to exploring reported paranormal activity. I believe that everyone has a story that deserves to be heard. I enjoy learning about historical cities and neighborhoods in Kansas and connecting them to my own life.
Catherine Grooms: Investigator-In-Training
My name is Catherine, but I go by CJ. I have had an extensive history with paranormal events. The first time I had any kind of experience was at the age of 3, with a small girl named rose (rosie for short). I am what people call sensitive to energies around me. I enjoy anything that has to do with the paranormal and want to help others around me.
Geri McDow: Investigator-In-Training
My name is Geri McDow. I was born and raised in Wichita, Ks. I have been drawn to Spirits and intrigued by the Paranormal since I was a young child. My own personal experiences have made me a Believer and a tad-bit of a Sensitive. Further experience will hope to prove and strengthen me on those aspects. My personal goal is to document evidence (Of Course!), and hopefully to obtain a more thorough understanding of how they live on the "Other side." Do they see what we see? Do they see flashes of us like we do them? What are Our differences? What are Our connections? Also someday, I would like to help create a National Database as I too am a Strong Believer in this great NEED of shared information to further aid in the scientific side of our research.
